Georges Coulomb: Painter Artist

GEORGES COULOMB was born in 1947 in Port-de-Bouc in Provence, where he still lives. Self-taught, he tried his hand at sculpture and then began to paint in 1970. Georges Coulomb is a contemporary figurative expressionist Provencal artist.

Having always lived in Port de Bouc, he owes his inspiration to marine horizons, to the canal that runs along his neighborhood, to the port and fishing professions. The holidays of his childhood, spent in Varages, a small village in the Var from which his paternal family came, in the fields, with the shepherd, at harvest and harvest time, also inspired him a lot. He is one of the founding members of a group of painters and sculptors in the city called “Forms and Colors”. This collective offers meetings, debates and artistic exhibitions. He is one of the driving forces behind

the Mediterranean Art Show.

He exhibits his paintings in France and also abroad, mainly in the United States and Japan.

Georges Coulomb is listed and listed in the AKOUN international guide.
